Delta-S accepts assignments and tasks in the fields of science and
research, business and marketing, art and media. For each separate
task a special (task) group is formed to carry out the assignment. By
appointing people on an ad hoc basis Delta-S is able to connect
quality and expertise in a dynamic way, avoiding the limitations of
institutional structures and hierarchies.
Instead of only appointing specialists who match the professional
domain of the assignment, Delta-S believes in the advantage of
combining a heterogeneous group of specialists from different fields.
This can imply that for an assignment in the field of new media
Delta-S will not only appoint media experts but will for example also
involve sociologists, artists and designers when this adds value to
the realization of the task.
Delta-S believes that the goal of the taskgroup not only is defined
by fullfilling the assignment. By combining different skills and
specialists in a taskgroup Delta-S also wants to create an
experimental 'laboratory' which is able to innovate existing
disciplines, techniques and methods. This means that the taskgroup or
'laboratory' at the same time is also aiming at the invention of new
paradigms in the domains of economic enterprise, (human) sciences,
art, media and technology.
Parallel to these assignments Delta-S will organize presentations and
lectures which will give report of the obtained experiences and
knowledge, but will also serve as a feedback for the development of
the process. These gatherings are not only meant for members of the
Delta-S taskgroups or laboratories, but will also be open to the
public. Through publications Delta-S will establish a public
discourse concerning the innovations in various professional,
cultural and scientific fields.
